what it is: Three foot stools (bean bags?); they are in our living room.
where they are from: we bought them at a street market in Morocco, in 2007/2008.
why they were chosen: because they are one of those items that receive little or no attention in the house, yet they are used even if we don’t take notice. Also we rarely buy souveniers in our trips and these were by far the biggest ones we ever got (they were empty, btw) and barely fit in our luggages (we only had backpacks with us).
what else: these ones are sheep skin, but there were camel skin ones. In Morocco, like in other similar countries, they expect you to bargain the prices with them – it’s part of the fun – but we are not good at bargaining and couldn’t be bothered to negotiate the price that much; we definitely paid more than we should have.
